It works well as a flashlight, with very bright white light shining 10 to 20 feet away in a dispersed pattern. Very comfortable to hold, and not too heavy.The rechargeable battery in mine failed to hold a charge after only eight months. And the battery is not covered by the Brinkmann warranty, so the flashlight is already toast. The Brinkmann lights are smaller, fit the hand well and are easy to operate but are probably too big for the average glovebox. A great light for use around the house.
